The Role
This role involves hands-on modelling, analysis, and interpretation of water and wastewater network performance to support client projects across the UK water sector. It’s ideal for someone with a strong technical grounding in hydraulic modelling who enjoys problem-solving and working collaboratively in multidisciplinary project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver hydraulic modelling of complex water and wastewater treatment and distribution systems.
- Develop, calibrate, and maintain hydraulic models for wastewater and water networks and infrastructure.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, analysts, and consultants to integrate modelling outputs into wider project solutions.
- Analyse model results to identify network performance issues, optimise system operation, and support decision-making.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of innovative modelling approaches and digital tools.
- Participate in project meetings, contribute to client discussions, and support the achievement of project milestones.
- Ensure modelling outputs are accurate, well-documented, and aligned with project requirements and quality standards.
- Support data preparation, validation, and analysis using relevant software and tools.

- Technically minded and analytical, with a passion for understanding how hydraulic networks and systems behave and can be optimised.

Skills and Experience
- Experience within a UK water company, consultancy, or regulated utilities environment.
- Strong knowledge and experience in the operation, analysis, or modelling of water and wastewater networks.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic modelling software (e.g., InfoWorks ICM / WS Pro, EPANET, or equivalent).
- Understanding of wastewater networks and water supply distribution systems, network hydraulics, and performance drivers.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage workload across multiple projects.
